Rajitha Senaratne, SLFP National Coordinator?

An advance has been made by Pivithuru Hetak pioneer Ven. Athureliya Rathana Thera to senior stalwarts of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) to constrain Minister Rajitha Senaratne to assume control as its National Organizer.

The position fell empty after Basil Rajapaksa left the nation in flurry emulating the toppling of previous President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the January 8 race.


Priest Senaratne assumed a key part in the triumph of President Maithripala Sirisena who was enthused about having him as the secretary of the SLFP.

At the same time any move to make Senaratne the SLFP secretary was retired owing to contrasts of conclusion among the chain of command of the Party.

In the interim President Maithripala Sirisena has chosen to expel previous Minister Dallas Alahapperuma from the post of treasurer of the SLFP.
